Introducing the new Winchester College Sports Centre

Earlier this week, the Winchester College Sports Centre opened its doors for the first time to a new generation of Wykehamists.

First year pupils were among the first to complete their inductions in the expansive 8-court Sports Hall complete with climbing wall, indoor cricket nets, badminton, basketball, futsal, volleyball, tennis and netball courts. They also tried out the equipment in the impressive fitness suite with cardio-vascular stations and weights, played games in the 6 squash courts and 6 fives courts, as well as trying out a range of martial arts including judo, karate and aikido in the new 12 x 12 metre Dojo.

Over the coming weeks, all pupils will have the chance to get to know the building and its facilities, and we look forward to celebrating the opening with pupils and staff over the Community Weekend in November.
