Chamber Orchestra and Glee Club
The Spring Concert on Sunday 5 March featured Winchester College Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Head of Strings James Toll, and Glee Club Choir and Orchestra, conducted by Director of Music Sarah Baldock.
Chamber Orchestra
The concert opened with Beethoven's Piano Concerto No 3 in C Minor Op. 37, with soloist Christopher. Sixth Form pupil and Music Scholar Christopher explains in the short film below why he chose this concerto and what it was like playing with the orchestra, which included many of his friends.
Glee Club
Open to Winchester College pupils, parents and staff, Winchester's singing group, known as Glee Club, performs regularly and has a varied repetoire. On this occasion, they chose Schubert's Mass No 3 in B Flat D324 and were joined by the Quiristers, with solos by William, Thomas and Sebastian.
