The Charities Committee is a group of pupils led by the don in charge. The pupils carry out numerous fundraising initiatives, including sponsored sports and music events, and merchandise sales and collections at major school events. The money raised supports three nominated charities, voted for my the whole school community: one local, one national, and an international charity. The current charities are:

  • Stay at school Nepal works to improve educational attainment in the mountain regions of Nepal by enabling students to stay in school longer.
  • Young Lives vs Cancer supports young people with cancer across the UK.
  • WinACC aims to reduce people’s carbon footprints in Winchester and empower the community to respond to the climate crisis and create positive, sustainable change .

In addition, pupils organise special activities and fundraisers in response to crises, such as the war in Ukraine and the 2023 earthquakes in the Middle East.

The College supports the Lotus Flower Trust on an ongoing basis. The charity helps to build schools, homes and centres in remote, rural and environmentally challenging areas of India. More information on the partnership can be found here.
